The MOAC photo gallery is for photos from "official" MOAC events - events that were posted on the Event Calendar, or on a Message Board, prior to the event.
Pat Johnson photos@moac.org is the gallery administrator. If you'd like to send photos, please provide the following information -
- Date of the event
- Name of the event
- Optional: a brief description of the trip, to be posted in the gallery
- Up to 10 megabytes of photographs. You can email them, or get a CD to Pat.
- Preferable format - a "zip" file or compressed folder, but individual jpg images will work. To learn how to create a compressed folder: How to Zip Files
- Preferably you should resize your photos for the web. Here is a tutorial:

Feel free to rename photos if you like - for example change from "pic043299.jpg" to "View from Saddleback.jpg" But you don't have to!
10 megabytes will hold a lot of images - if you downsize them from the original size. 800-900 pixels wide, low or medium quality jpg images look just fine viewed online.
We will add galleries in reverse chronological order - newest galleries will appear first.
Photographs won't stay online forever. We have 500 megabytes of storage (enough for thousands of images). As we approach that limit, we'll start deleting the oldest photos to make room for new ones.
We cannot return your images! Please keep your own copies!
Photographers - please exercise good judgement when taking photos of others.
Photographees - please let the photographer know if you prefer not to be photographed!
