DESCRIPTION:Please join us to celebrate our independence this July 1-5 at Lamoine State Park. \nLamoine is located on State Park Road off Route 184 eight (8) miles southeast of Ellsworth on Frenchman’s Bay. View Map. \nNestled in the heart of Down east Maine\, this oceanfront park is located in one of the most sought-after vacation regions in the state. Lamoine State Park’s central location is a quiet alternative that provides easy access to Bar Harbor\, Acadia National Park\, rockbound islands\, and area lighthouses. Visitors enjoy camping\, boating\, fishing and simple relaxation in a beautiful location. Park views of Frenchman’s Bay\, and amenities such as the campground facilities and boat launching ramp are some of the park’s highlights. \nThis trip is being co-led by Nancy Dorrans and Elaine Vadeboncoeur. We’ve reserved Group A Kitchen Shelter at Lamoine State Park with room for up to 20 people and one or two campers. \nSIGN UP HERE \nTOTAL RATE is $40 Flat Rate for 1\, 2\, 3 or 4 nights – \nBring your kayak\, hiking boots\, sense of adventure to explore the less explored areas north and Downeast of MDI. We’ll be looking for some volunteer co-leaders for daily excursions. Cycle to  Marlboro Beach\, Lamoine\, Maine. Learn about the geology of the area on the interactive Maine Geologic Facts and Localities map. Paddle the shore or any of the other countless bodies of water nearby? Hike? Bike? Fish? Cook?
