DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Mountain Hiking – Progressive Series\nHike #4 Peaked Mountain  \nHave you been wanting to try hiking\, but don’t feel up to the bigger hikes?  I’ve set this up to start small\, and relatively easy\, and build up to a good moderate hike. If you’re unsure what equipment & clothing you need\, you can learn that too\, so you can have a safe and enjoyable hike.   This is the fourth hike in the series. \nHere’s the plan for hikes 4 & 5: \nJuly 23 – Peaked Mountain\, North Conway.  4 mi 1200’  3 hours.  AllTrails description & map. \nAugust 20 – Pleasant Mountain\, Bridgton/Denmark\, Firewarden’s Trail.  5.0 mi\, 1500’\, 4hours.  AllTrails description & map. \nEach hike is scheduled for a Saturday.  The rain date will be the next day (Sunday).  I’ll keep track of the weather as each hike gets close.  \nBy reservation only.  Maximum of 8 people for each hike.  Contact me by email to make a reservation for each hike\, or if you want to make a reservation for all of them\, that’s fine too.  More details before each hike.

DESCRIPTION:A day in Bayville\, Boothbay Harbor \nSaturday July 23rd  \n2pm -9pm  \nAlina and Robert are inviting members\, limit of 20\, to enjoy our home in a special community of cottages at the head of Linekin Bay. \nMy guests will have access to a dock for launching kayaks\, swim\, or enjoy the view. There are numerous nearby land trust trails.  \nKitchen facilities are available to share snacks and drinks. \nWe can gather for a community supper with salmon and roasted veggies. And others can bring salads\, other goodies and drinks to enjoy on our deck. I also have a fire pit. Musicians welcome. Lucky our doggie also welcomes well behaved pooches. \nActivities to enjoy: \nKayaking Linekin Bay shoreline of around Cabbage Island \nHiking land trust trails – Lobster Cove Meadow and Appalache trail are accessible from our house.  \nSwimming  \nTennis if courts are free \nHanging out at the dock or on our deck \nParking \nDepending on numbers attending\, parking at the Meadow Mall (1mile away) and car pooling to my house where there is room for about 5 cars.
