DESCRIPTION:Visit one of Maine’s 5\,500 lakes close to hiking\, off-road and road biking\, the Androscoggin River\, AND the Mountain Valley Stomp! Music starts Friday night in Peru Village with Lunch Pail Jere’s BAND in Jess and Steve’s barn. Saturday The Stomp starts at 11 and winds down at 6PM at Mountain View Campground in Dixfield. SEE LINK HEREIN for Stomp details. \nBeds indoors at my cottage or bring a tent. Plenty of room by reservation. I will have my 6-per pop-up tent set up for people who just want to crawl in and sleep. \nCOME WHENEVER YOU ARE ABLE.

DESCRIPTION:Please join us this Sunday\, August 14th for a late summer hike up Sawyer Mountain in Limington\, Maine\nHike is approx a 4.00 mile loop trail.  \nNewcomers WELCOME – Conversational Pace \nSawyer Mountain is generally considered a moderately challenging hike with a variety of trails to choose from (see map)\nWeatherman says 62-82 degrees and mostly cloudy!  We promise good company and great views. \n\n\nBring layers\, plenty of water\, sunscreen\, lunch and snacks\, rain/windbreaker and hiking shoes/boots.\n\n\nCarpool options from Portland – Please let me know you’re coming and where you would like to meet us – 207-712-5699 (call or text) \n\n\n\n\n\n8:50 – Marginal Way Park/Ride across from World Gym – \n9:00 – Depart Portland \n9:25  –  Arrive Gorham\, Hannaford  (Please find us in the parking lot on the back left side of the store)\n9:30 – Depart Gorham\n\n10:00 – Meet at the Sawyer Mountain Trailhead – off 117 in Limington\nThe trail-head is located at a sharp turn in Route 117\, 2.5 miles south of the junction of Routes 25 and 117\, \nor 2.4 miles north of the junction of Routes 11 and 117. \nThe Sawyer Mountain Highlands are located about 30 miles west of Portland\, Maine. With some peaks over 1\,000 feet\, these are the highest elevations in Maine south of the Saco River and comprise a large block of undeveloped land. The Francis Small Heritage Trust\, Inc. preserves about 1\,400 acres. The property offers good views from the summit of Sawyer Mountain and gives access to other summits\, small gorges\, brooks\, cascades\, ponds\, and wetlands.\nBeverage and food stop for those interested on the way home…..Hope to see you out there~ Nancy
