SUMMARY:Rail to Trail Biking in Aroostook County
DESCRIPTION:I will be in Aroostook County for work and plan to take my bike along.  There are two substantial Rail to Trail systems in the area; the Aroostook Valley Trail and the Bangor to Aroostook Trail.   They start in the Presque Isle/Caribou area.  It’s a 4 1/2 hour drive from Portland to that area (I thought it was more so that was a relief!)   Accommodations are on your own.  I have an Airbnb reserved and there’s other options for places to stay.  It’s a beautiful\, remote area to explore and I’m open to discuss options.  Call or email if you have an interest to discuss further.

DESCRIPTION:Come listen to MOAC’s own Bill Stressinger\, and others\, playing music at Orchard Ridge Farm\, in Gorham.  This was also\, the location of Winterfest this year.  You can purchase tickets ahead (for $5) from Eventbrite. \nHere’s the description from Orchard Ridge: \nSeptember’s Full Moon brings us into Fall as we approach the equinox. \nCome enjoy food\, drink\, and fire pits under the light of the Full Moon. we will have live music from 5-7pm and trails will be open so you can take a walk by the moonlight. Apples and pears will be in full swing so while you’re here make sure to either pick your own or grab some in the farm store. Beer\, wine\, a la carte menu\, and snacks available. \nThis is an outdoor event so please dress accordingly. Parking is be limited\, we welcome you to carpool or park at Shaw Park and walk via the Mountain Division Trail for additional capacity. \nEvent is Saturday September 10th 5-8pm\, tickets are $5.
