SUMMARY:POPHAM BEACH WALK
DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to join one last scenic and peaceful walk along Popham Beach for 2022 on Saturday the 31st of December.  We will walk from the Popham Beach State Park parking lot to the beach and then proceed East along the beach to the Kennebec and then continue along the beach to Fort Popham\, grab one of the picnic tables at the Fort for a half-hour or so and return. For those that wish\, pack a lunch to enjoy at the Fort. We will step off from the parking lot at 11 AM and anticipate being back to the parking lot at approximately 1:30 PM.  As low tide is at 12 noon\, we should have a fairly wide berth and decent footing in both directions. We will meet in the middle of the parking lot directly ahead of the entry shack. Follow Maine route 209 through Phippsburg directly to the State Park entrance. Watch for Popham Beach State Park signage along Maine route 209 while motoring through Phippsburg.  For any questions prior to December 31st\, 207-844-8142 (this is a land line) or mcb-12nam@outlook.com. SUMMARY:Old Orchard Beach Walk/Fireworks
DESCRIPTION:Meet at the Clambake’s (jct. Rte 9 and East Grand Ave) Parking Lot at 5PM. The beach bonfire will be lit at 4:30. Fireworks in front of Palace Playland @ 7:00. The show last year was extraordinary.  You can get home and to sleep by MOAC midnight! Lol.
