SUMMARY:Hedgehog Mountain hike/snowshoe
DESCRIPTION:Had a change of plan last Sunday\, so I’ll try this again.  More snow is on the way\, so let’s get out.  Let’s hike Hedgehog Mountain\, off the Kancamagus Highway.  It’s about a 5 mile loop with 1400 feet elevation gain.   9-14 inches of snow is predicted for Wednesday\, into Thursday\, so we may need snowshoes.  We’ll at least need microspikes.  Also layers and all other winter gear.  Experience level: Intermediate.  Email me to sign up and for details\, including carpooling information.  Let me know your winter hiking experience.  Here’s a link to the AllTrails description of this hike. \n

DESCRIPTION:HAPPY HOUR this Friday will be at RUSKI’S TAVERN located at 212 Danforth Street in Portland’s West End. If you liked Rosie’s you’ll like this spot too. Cozy\, unpretentious\, and friendly. Free on-street parking. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWith the advent of cooler weather\, MOAC Happy Hours may now be located at establishments offering limited or no options for outdoor seating.  For each Happy Hour venue\, we will try to give as much information as practical about available seating options.\n\nParticipation in Happy Hour events\, regardless of seating options\, is a personal decision and MOAC assumes no liability for potential health risks associated with attending these activities.\n\nVaccination against COVID-19 (including approved booster shots) is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED\, but not required for participation in Happy Hour events.   Participants are expected to practice safe behaviors including social distancing\, hand washing and wearing a mask when not eating/drinking or when not seated.   Please be respectful of other people’s choices and comfort level.  Do not participate if you are not feeling well\, exhibiting COVID symptoms\, have recently tested positive for COVID or have come into close contact with someone who may be COVID positive.
