SUMMARY:Easy Canoe Camping Trip (Members Only)
DESCRIPTION:Easy trip with no rapids or portages.  We will arrive at my camp on Lake Moxie in The Forks\, Maine on Friday May 12th and spend the night. Saturday morning\, we will drive to the Bald Mountain Pond boat landing.  After loading and launching our boats\, we will leisurely explore the pond before arriving at our campsite.  The Appalachian Trail skirts the pond before climbing Moxie Bald Mountain; there is a six person lean-to on the shore.  Some may wish to tent or sleep in the lean-to…it will be up to you.  Based on campsite space\, this trip is limited to six people.  If we arrive early enough\, some may wish to hike up the mountain to enjoy the view from its open ledges. \nMeals are on-your-own.  If weather and conditions permit\, we will have a social camp fire.  Sunday is pack and paddle day. \nYou must contact me directly to sign up for this event.  If you haven’t talked to me\, you are not going.
