SUMMARY:Lamoine State Park Camping\, July 1 – 5
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate July 4th at Lamoine State Park. Both group sites have been reserved for July 1 – 5. \nOn State Park Road off Route 184 eight (8) miles southeast of Ellsworth on Frenchman’s Bay. \nNestled in the heart of Down east Maine\, this oceanfront park is located in one of the most sought-after vacation regions in the state. Lamoine State Park’s central location is a quiet alternative that provides easy access to Bar Harbor\, Acadia National Park\, rockbound islands\, and area lighthouses. Visitors enjoy camping\, boating\, fishing and simple relaxation in a beautiful location. Park views of Frenchman’s Bay\, and amenities such as the campground facilities and boat launching ramp are some of the park’s highlights. Read more about the park at Lamoine State Park. \nAll kinds of adventures await whether it’s hiking in Acadia\, kayaking Frenchman Bay\, or biking carriage roads or back roads. While Mount Desert Island is only 30 minutes away (on a good day) there is much to see downeast: Tunk Mountain  and the Caribou Loop trails are only 30 minutes away\, too\, and will be less crowded. Lamoine Town Beach and Marlboro Beach provide sea kayaking up the Skilling River\, and Donnell Pond\, a designated jewel of Maine pond\, is thirty minutes away for fresh water kayaking. The Sunrise Rail to Trail provides mountain biking trails from Ellsworth to Machias. For a multi-sport adventure\, bike to the back door hiking trail up Schoodic Mountain. \nTotal rate is $30 for 1\, 2\, 3\, or 4 nights. Registration is limited to 40 campers. Cancellations up to May 31\, after that registration is non-refundable but can be transferred to a buddy. You may opt for fewer nights\, same price\, $30\, but you could transfer your spot to someone else but that will be your responsibility. \nWe will have a pot luck dinner one night and a cook out July 4th. SUMMARY:Goslings Saturday Picnic Sail
DESCRIPTION:Since the weather wasn’t cooperating for an overnight this weekend\,  we’ve decided to do another MOAC picnic sail on Saturday to the Goslings preserve. I have four spots on my boat\, and I think Dan is taking his boat. Come sailing! Bring a picnic lunch and snacks to share\, water\, sturdy non marking shoes\, and a rain jacket. SUMMARY:Motor to the Goslings islands
DESCRIPTION:Join the flottilla to the fabled Gosling Archapeligo in Casco Bay aboard Blue Glory II. Fair warning\,  she is a power boat but is Maine built and stout hearted.  There is room for 4 plus the captain\, the first mate is a well behaved Black Lab.  Bring a lunch\, snacks and a beverage.   A picnic on the island and maybe swimming are on the agenda.
