SUMMARY:Rangeley Lake State Park Camping Three Nights
DESCRIPTION:We have reserved the East End Group Site at Rangeley Lake State Park for the nights of July 14\, 15\, and 16.  This is a walk-in lakeside site for up to 35 campers The park encompasses 869 acres in the heart of Maine’s Western Mountains.  Plan to enjoy hiking\, camping\, wildlife watching\, photography\, canoeing\, and kayaking.  (Bring your own boats.) The lake’s cool\, clear waters stretch nine miles and support world-famous populations of landlocked salmon and trout (sustained through a strong commitment to catch-and-release practices) – of course licenses are required.\nThe campground has commanding views of Saddleback Mountain. \nThe cost is $30 per person whether you stay the whole weekend or not.  We will have a pot luck dinner one night.  The rest of the time you are on your own for food .  Payment through Venmo or by check will secure your spot.  This is non-refundable but you can transfer your space to a MOAC friend. \nFor more information to to    https://www.maine.gov/dacf/parksearch/PropertyGuides/PDF_GUIDE/rangeleylakeguide.pdf \nHikes\, paddles\, and/or other adventures will be planned when we get there.

DESCRIPTION:When you come tomorrow\, Sat July 15th\, let me encourage all that would like to come early and take a dip in the River to do so. There is a very nearby swimming spot on the Presumpscot that is just a 3 minute walk from the concert. The river is very clean and very refreshing. It is directly behind the Homestead along Portland Trails Conant Trail.\nAlso\, we will be grilling GraKakes for the concert. They will be by donation. If you have not had them before they are artisanal vegan burgers. (They wheat free\, non-processed\, no oils\, and hand pressed and baked on the Conant homestead.) They are very good!\nAND there may be the opportunity to walk some young goats. A delight for kids of all species.\n\nSee you Saturday I hope…\n\nMichael and Malory Shaughnessy
