SUMMARY:South Branch Pond in Baxter State Park
DESCRIPTION:I have a tent site 22 at South Branch for 3 nights 8/7\, 8/8 and 8/9 and have room for 3 more people.  The campground provides trail access to local ponds in the Fowler region as well as day hikes on South Branch Mountain and North Traveler and the very challenging Traveler Loop Trail. The campground trailhead also provides access to Russell Pond Campground via the Pogy Notch Trail. Swimming\, fishing and canoeing (rental available) are also available.  Details regarding carpooling and sharing of any equipment such as that for cooking will be discussed prior.

DESCRIPTION:Perhaps because the mailings aren’t going out to alert Moacer’s about new offerings\, I received very few interested in my “Camp Day”. I will make other plans. Contact me if you’d like me to offer this Saturday and we’ll see what that brings. Likely another one in 2 weeks.Original offer was: Thursday Come up to camp and escape the heat. I will be up to my two rental camps and would love some company. Come to relax\, swim\, paddle\, and if you have a sailboat or motorboat\, there is a public launch nearby\, and I have a buoy\, and a dock. Dive off my swim float or just hang out\, swim\, float around.  Grill available for very informal potluck\, and if people linger it would be fun to watch the sunset\, have a campfire\, stargaze. GPS will get you to my camp road but not my camp on China lake\, South China\, Maine.  Kayaks and SUP may be available for those without boats. No pets please.
