DESCRIPTION:  \nMOAC is excited to host this year’s Winterfest on March 9th 11am – sunset\, which will be presented at Orchard Ridge Farm at 236 Sebago Lake Rd\, Gorham\, Maine!  \nThis year’s activities will include: \n -A classic chili/soup cookoff with prizes awarded to the volunteers bringing the top three dishes.  \n– Yard-games & brews (please see below).  \n-A full menu of food/drink is available for purchase at the venue.  \n-Free hot cocoa/Coffee/tea. \n-Join us skiing/ snowshoeing along the adjacent Mountain Division Trail. \n-Enjoy warming up by the firepit. \n-Volunteer led winter events. \n  \nJoin us for a great afternoon!

DESCRIPTION:Hi everyone… my first MOAC post in many years!  I’m hoping to hike on Saturday despite cloudy weather (and very sorry to conflict with Winterfest)… thinking of either Mts. Pierce and Jackson in Crawford Notch\, or Mt. Chocorua via Champney Falls\, but am open to other suggestions in the 3500-4500′ range.  Would strongly suggest recent winter hiking experience and appropriate winter gear.  Brisk-ish pace; I’m usually about 3/4 book time or a little less.   Please email me if interested… thanks! \nRuby

SUMMARY:Winterfest Outing - Bike via back roads to Babb's Covered Bridge / walk The Mountain Division Trail
DESCRIPTION:This is an outing during “Winter”fest. Looks like we won’t be having a storm before Winterfest\, in lieu of snow shoeing and skiing\, we have a bike trip planned to Babb’s Covered Bridge (2.4 miles away from the farm) so bring a bike! If a group would rather walk a portion of The Mountain Division Trail\, the trail is still icy (proof that\, yes\, we did have winter!). Please bring spikes if you take that route.

SUMMARY:Winterfest Walk to Gambo Preserve
DESCRIPTION:After voting on your favorite soup\, join me for a walk to Gambo Preserve. The trail is 1.3 miles one-way and is partially on the Mountain Division trail. Gambo Preserve is home to an old gunpowder mill that was built in 1824. The trail might have some ice\, so bring some sort of traction.
