The Sunrise Rail to Trail provides mountain biking trails from Ellsworth to Machias. For a multi-sport adventure\, bike to the back door hiking trail up Schoodic Mountain. \nTotal rate is $30 for 1\, 2\, 3\, or 4 nights. Registration is limited to 20 campers. Cancellations up to May 31\, after that registration is non-refundable but can be transferred to a buddy. You may opt for fewer nights\, same price\, $30\, but you could transfer your spot to someone else; that will be your responsibility. \nWe will have a pot luck dinner one night and a cook out July 4th. More details will be available. If there is interest\, we can have a boiled lobster dinner one night. \nPLEASE include Lamoine State Park in your subject line when responding. \nMarty Williams\, 207-801-1488 voice or text for questions. SUMMARY:Paddle Donnell Pond
DESCRIPTION:Donnell Pond and the surrounding area was one of the first purchases of the Land for Maine’s Future Fund. Most of the lake is preserved with several small pocket beaches. It is called a pond but it’s pretty big\, with three areas to explore.  We can paddle\, swim\, maybe hike a little from Redman Beach. After\, we can walk into the blueberry fields\, perhaps all the way to Little Pond (about 3 miles)\, and pick blueberries as we go. Let’s bring a lunch. \nKayaks or canoes; PFD’s required. I have an extra kayak\, but it will need to be transported from Ellsworth. \nIf you are not camping\, but would like to join us\, text me at 207-801-1488.
