SUMMARY:Middle Bay Day Paddling or Kayak Camping Birch Island Brunswick Aug 16\, 17\, or 18
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to kayak Middle Bay from Merepoint\, Brunswick\, on Friday\, Saturday\, or Sunday. Campers can stay for all three days or just Saturday and Sunday. This trip is flexible and offers something for everyone. \nI will be camping on the island. Please meet me at the campsite on the northeast shore of Birch Island at about 9 a.m. It is about a two-mile paddle from Merepoint around the island’s north end. \nWe can spend each day kayaking approximately ten miles around nearby islands and stopping at one for lunch. Plan for a 5–6-hour day. \nParticipants must have at least a 14-foot sea kayak and wear a PFD and sprayskirt. Day kayakers need to bring water and lunch. Campers need to bring food for each camping day\, a tent\, and associated camping gear. Campfires are not allowed\, so bring a stove. Birch Island is a carry-in/carry-out campsite. All solid waste needs to be carried out. The trip is limited to eight people each day. \nTo register\, email me at us1863@gmail.com with what kayak you have. Please include your cellphone number.
