DESCRIPTION:Snowshoe in Rines Forest\, Cumberland \n*Monday 2 pm: I walked our route today and conditions are not suitable.* \nWhat: 2.5-3 miles through the forest\, some hills\, but none too strenuous. Hunting is allowed here\, so wear your orange. Maine allows year-round hunting of coyote\, woodchuck\, porcupine\, and red squirrel. So we might encounter hunters\, year-round. No dogs\, please. \nWhen: Wednesday\, February 12\, 9 am-11 am \nWhere: Rines Forest parking lot\, Range Rd.\, Cumberland. The lot is directly across Range Rd. from Idlewood Dr. The parking lot is new as of 2022 and has about 8 spaces. There are also several pull-out spaces at the older trailhead on Range Rd. several hundred feet to the east of the lot. \nWho: Laura Williams. Please email or text me to let me know you’re coming.
