DESCRIPTION:very short hike up (RT 1.4 mile) the south trail to Pisgah Hill\, parking on Dougherty Road trailhead. part of the Royal River Conservation Trust . I’ll be doing this Friday afternoon. text me to let me know to look for you at TH. I am aiming for 1:30 start. time and interest permitting\, I may go around to the shorter north trail (0.6 mile) to look for the beaver pond. 30 minute drive from downtown Portland. willing to drive if you are not far out of my way. SUMMARY:Rocky Lake Canoe Trip Details!
DESCRIPTION:Drive up Friday leaving vehicle at The south end of diamond match road put in.  Canoe and set up camp on the island campsite in the middle of the lake as shown on DeLorme.  If this campsite is unsuitable for any reason\, we go east Northeast to the shore to the other campsite shown.  A couple of us will spot a car at the south end of second Lake.  Saturday we Canoe counterclockwise through Rocky Lake stream into second Lake and camp on the west side of second Lake.  Sunday morning we do the short bit to the south end of second Lake and we’re out.  From reports\, there are a couple of Beaver dams we’ll have to cross and some trivial fast water.  Again\, I will bring all the food and cooking equipment plus a bug tent. You need a sleeping bag and tent and make sure we have a canoe & partner arranged.  Contact me for more details and carpooling.  Dan@40ur..78 six835!
