DESCRIPTION:  \nIntroduction to Mountain Hiking – Progressive Series\nHike #5 Pleasant Mountain  \nHave you been wanting to try hiking\, but don’t feel up to the bigger hikes?  This is the final hike in this series.  We started small and have been doing progressively harder hikes.  This hike is a good moderate hike.  If you’re unsure what equipment & clothing you need\, you can learn that too\, so you can have a safe and enjoyable hike.   This is the fifth hike in the series. \nHere’s the plan for this last hike: \nAugust 20 – Pleasant Mountain\, Bridgton/Denmark\, Firewarden’s Trail.  5.0 mi\, 1500’\, 4hours.  AllTrails description & map. \nEach hike is scheduled for a Saturday.  The rain date will be the next day (Sunday).  I’ll keep track of the weather as each hike gets close.  \nBy reservation only.  Maximum of 8 people.  Contact me by email to make a reservation.  More details before the hike.

DESCRIPTION:Hike Mt. Will in Newry\, near Sunday River. 1\,700 ft gain\, 2 hr 30 minute loop hike. \nCool off in Frenchman’s Hole following\, about 10 miles away. \nThis is an afternoon hike. For carpool: \nMeet at: 11:00 am at West Falmouth Park & Ride next to Hannaford or 11:30 am\, Exit 63 Park & Ride in Gray. \nFor the hike: \nMeet at trailhead at 1:00 pm. Hit the trail at 1:15\, done by 3:30 – 4:00 pm. Drive to Frenchman’s for late afternoon swim – supposed to be hot out.
