SUMMARY:WALK POPHAM BEACH
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an approximately two & one-half hour walk along the beach from Popham Beach State Park to Fort Popham and return on Tuesday December 6th.  Although a chance of showers is predicted for that day\, it appears from the forecast this may be one of the last 50 + degree days for a while to take advantage of.  For those that wish\, pack a light lunch to enjoy in the vicinity of Fort Popham prior to the return leg of the walk. We will step off at 12 noon sharp from the Popham Beach State Park parking lot. As high tide will have been around 10 AM\, the entire walk should be during ebb tide ensuring a wide berth and decent walking conditions.  Getting there is straight forward as one can take Maine – 209 in Phippsburg right to Popham Beach State Park with adequate signage along Maine -209 directing visitors to the Park. We will meet in the center of the parking lot directly ahead of the entry shack. For any questions on the day of the walk\, 802-770-9106.
