SUMMARY:Climb Carter Dome via Mt Hight
DESCRIPTION:Climb Carter Dome by way of Mt. Hight and 19 Mile Brook Trail. This is a challenging hike – 10.2 miles round trip\, 3\,500′ elevation gain. Wind chills will be in the 20’s at the summits – be prepared with extra layers\, a warm hat and gloves. Bring lunch\, snacks and water\, and a headlamp just in case; also\, wear something blaze orange – it’s hunting season. There are fantastic views from Mt. Hight – two of the photos on this website were taken there. Max group size is 8; fully vaccinated hikers only. Call\, text (207-380-6008) or email for meeting places and times (we’re not starting at 2AM) and carpool information. If we haven’t hiked together before\, please call me to discuss your experience.
