SUMMARY:Nordic Skiing at Jackson NH
DESCRIPTION:Join us for miles of xc skiing in Jackson\, NH where there are trails for all abilities. I’ll be on intermediate trails and if there’s a big enough group we can split off beginners separately. Tickets are $25 for the day. RSVP by text or call to 207-380-6008 (not email please) for meeting place and time and to arrange carpooling. This will be a morning through lunchtime and after event. You can bring your own food or there’s a deli nearby for sandwiches/soups.

SUMMARY:Winter Sports in the Sugarloaf Area
DESCRIPTION:Stay at the Roadhouse Hostel between Stratton and Rangeley.  Private rooms and walled off bunks for privacy and soundproofing.  Bring earplugs for uninterrupted sleep.  Potluck dinners in MOAC style.  Breakfast will be bagels and homemade muffins\, fruit\, coffee/tea\, included.  Bunks are $40/night\, rooms $50-60.  Cash preferred.  Make your reservation directly with Jen or Jen at 207-670-4159 for one or more nights.  Extend your stay\, if you wish–you won’t want to leave.  Questions?  Call Eileen 207-749-0211.

SUMMARY:Winterfest update (Saturday February 28th)
DESCRIPTION:There are 2 bunks not yet taken for Winterfest at the AMC Highland Center Crawford Notch for Saturday night Sunday morning.   These spots include dinner and breakfast.  This is shaping up to be a great trip. There are 90 kilometers of Nordic trails and downhill skiing is at Bretton woods just 3 miles down route 302. \nOnce these 2 bunks are taken I will open up reservations for Friday for those who desire it. You could do both nights or just Friday.  They currently have:  (4) 2 bunk rooms\, (2) 4 bunk rooms and (3) 6 bunk rooms available for Friday Feb 27. \nPlease email Art Cornell at acornell@maine.rr.com to reserve a bunk.  The price is $120 \nNote: You can easily make this a day trip\, it is a 2 hour drive from Portland. \n

We’ll enjoy the #1 and #2 ranked alpine resorts in the East (SKI Magazine Top 20 of the East\, 2026)\, located alongside two of New England’s premier Nordic trail systems\, with the freedom to choose your own activity each day. \nDates: Friday\, January 30 through Wednesday\, February 4 \nUPDATE:  Several Rooms available on Mon & Tue\, Feb 2 and 3.    1 Room available Fri\, Jan 30.    \nLodging:\nOur home base once again will be The Maine Roadhouse in Stratton—an MOAC favorite for years and the perfect hub for Sugarloaf and Saddleback adventures.
