DESCRIPTION:Injury Prevention and Muscle Balance Techniques for Rebelling Knees and Hips \nOur December MOAC presentation welcomes Physical Therapist Joe Legere and his talk will revolve around preventing injuries via effective stretches for the hips and knees\, before AND after rigorous activity outdoors. In addition\, Joe will be providing manual self-treatment ideas for attendees to use in the future. \n—————————— \nJoe Legere\, PT\, is a native of Windham\, Maine and a graduate of The University of New England\, where he earned his physical therapy degree in 1992. He is the owner of JPL Manual Physical Therapy\, located in Portland. Throughout his career\, he has spent the majority of his efforts treating orthopedic injuries incurred from sports activities\, the workplace\, and as a result of musculoskeletal and joint dysfunction. He is an active guy\, who relates well to high level athletes\, people battling postural issues\, and the weekend warrior. He is an outdoor enthusiast and conservationist. Joe resides in Falmouth\, and enjoys spending time with his wife\, Vicki\, and their two daughters\, Blair and Grace.

DESCRIPTION:December 7\, 2024 @ 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm \nJoin the Party before the Party!! \nWe need help with transporting supplies and decorations from the storage unit to our venue and we will need help to return them the next day. \nWe will be setting up the hall with tables\, chairs and decorations (trees\, lights\, tables) for the evening. \nThere will be plenty of time to get home and change before the festivities begin. \nLots of volunteers are needed in the early afternoon (as well as during the party).
