DESCRIPTION:Join us for one of our 2 Portland Community Chorus 2025 Holiday Concerts! \nMark your calendars\, make a plan with friends and family\, and don’t miss this year’s PCC concert! We’ll be singing on the theme of “Our Maine”.  A fantastic program is planned\, with material celebrating the landscape\, rich heritage and spirit of our beloved State of Maine. We will also have some holiday favorites to help get you in the holiday spirit. And…we have some exciting guests! \n\nThomas Charles Clukey\, a singer songwriter who writes about the rugged charm and serene beauty of Maine\, joins us Friday evening.\nJulia Gagnon\, a recent finalist on American Idol\, joins us Saturday afternoon.\nDoug Kolmar\, Maine singer-songwriter and PCC member\, along with the lively bluegrass quartet\, Borderline 207 will join us for both concerts.\n\nI’d love to see your bright\, MOAC faces in the audience. Support your local artists and share the love of music this holiday season! SUMMARY:36th Annual Holiday Bash-Dinner & Dance
DESCRIPTION:Join other MOACers at this dress-up event of the year! Held at the AmVets Post in Yarmouth at 148 North Road\, this annual event is a celebration of our active and social community.  This year\, we will have a traditional turkey dinner (MOAC supplies three turkeys and a cake for dessert).  Members bring appetizers and the fixings for a turkey dinner\, salads and side dishes.  Last year we ran out of the main meal\, so please bring a serving for the main meal for at least 10 people. (Please do not bring store-bought desserts.)  MOAC will supply a cake for dessert.  Homemade cookies\, pies and other desserts are welcome but the emphasis for the potluck is on the main meal\, please.\nVolunteers are needed to decorate the hall\, staff the door and welcome members\, arrange and label the food\, clean up\, take down the decorations and pack up.  Volunteers get in for FREE and will be first in the food line.  You MUST sign up and show up for these benefits.\nContact Dan Kidd to volunteer:  President@moac.org.\nAs in past years\, MOAC will run a 50/50 raffle to benefit an outdoor-related non-profit TBD by the Board at their Nov meeting. If you’d like to nominate an organization to benefit from the raffle\, please email board@moac.org\nThis year MOAC has hired a DJ for dance music and Chris Stack\, a highly accomplished pianist\, will play while we dine.  We can also expect composer Bill Shouse to play guitar and sing the MOAC theme song.
