This is an invitation to our MOAC friends.
Join us on Earth Day to celebrate nature, share thoughts about what we can each do to help make everyday Earth Day and learn a bit about this wonderful preserve near downtown Bath. This AMC outing is a joint venture with KELT. Becky Kolak from the Kennebec Estuary Land Trust will join us to talk about the history of this preserve and plans to expand it. A mixture of upland forests, rocky woodlands, wetland forests, and open wetland, the preserve protects 900 feet of frontage on Lilly Pond, the headwaters of Whiskeag Creek. There are about 3 miles of trails for us to explore. Come do a little “forest bathing” while enjoying what nature can give us on a spring morning.
TO REGISTER: Please email Michelle (firstname.lastname@example.org) with info on your current level of hiking activity and a phone contact. If you’d like to carpool, please include where you would be coming from. Full details will be emailed upon registration.
