DESCRIPTION:A MOAC Friendsgiving Member & Guests Benefit subsidized by your membership fee.  (Bring a non-member and maybe they’ll join this amazing club!)\nThe cost has been lowered to $15 in advance by cash or check.  Bring your $ to the MOAC Program on the 1st Wed of the month November 4th or December 2nd–always at the Allen Avenue UU Church\, Portland.\nTo send a check made out to MOAC\, mail it to MOAC\, PO Box 11251\, Portland\, ME 04104.\nAdmission will be $20 at the door.  You may also buy online through Eventbrite with a fee for the transaction.  Note:  Credit cards used for MOAC transactions are subject to bank fees.\nAnnual Dinner & Dance ~ Dress Fancy  *5:30-6:30 Social Hour* ~ *6:30-7:30 Dinner* ~ *7:30-10:00 Dance Music*\nMOAC will supply Ham\, Turkey and Spanakopita – The rest of the meal is POTLUCK.  Please plan on bringing side dishes\, salads\, vegetables\, stuffing\, or appetizer-type food.  If you also want to bring a dessert\, feel free.  Focus on the main meal.  A package of Oreos is not going to cut it.\nLocation:  AmVets Hall\, North Road\, Yarmouth \n–Volunteer for decorating by contacting vp@moac.org or Eileen Whynot 207-749-0211.  Decorating will be noon-1:30 on Dec 5th.\n–To volunteer for a 45 min shift to check members and guests in\, contact Todd Gartsu at 207-2322700.                                                                Shifts Start at:  5:15; 6:00; 6:45; 7:15; 8:00; 8:15\n–To help set up the food tables and manage crock pot plug-ins and keep track of empty dishes\, and where the bags and boxes are under the table\, contact Eileen vp@MOAC.org or show up and pitch in!  Shifts for this volunteer job:  5:15; 6:00; 6:45; 7:15; 8:00; 8:15\n–Clean Up Volunteers will be reimbursed their paid entry fee at the end of the night.  Contact:  Todd Gartsu at 207-232-2700 to sign up. SUMMARY:AMC Highland Center - Seniors Dark Sky and Fall Foliage Getaway
DESCRIPTION:As AMC leaders and MOAC members and other groups\, we are inviting you to join us on this getaway. All AMC outings are open to the public. You must use this link to register. \nhttps://activities.outdoors.org/s/oc-activity/a5UVX000001Jjor2AC/act00024048 \n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt’s that time of year to get out and enjoy the changing colors in the White Mountains. We also timed this getaway to enjoy some starry nights. Come join us for 3 nights of camaraderie\, good food\, a beautiful spot and getting out with fellow seniors. However\, anyone is welcome to join us. During the day\, you can enjoy a ride on the Mt. Washington Cog Railway\, a walk to a waterfall or 2 or 3\, mountain trails for the more adventurous or take a gondola ride at Bretton Woods. Outings may not be led by the leaders. We are seniors and limited to easier hikes which you will be welcome to join us on. \nWe are holding the Shapleigh Bunkhouse which has 2 bunkrooms with 4 or 12 bunks\, bathrooms and showers\, a common sitting area with a couple futons\, table and chairs\, and fridge and microwave. $76 per person per day plus 8.5% tax. Rates include dinner and breakfast each day. Lunch is on your own but available at the lodge. We are also holding rooms in the main lodge as follows: with private bath\, 1 queen\, 1 queen and 1 twin\, 1 queen and 2 bunks. With shared bath\, rooms with 4 bunks. There are also rooms with 2 bunks or 6 bunks which we could hold if desired.
