LL Bean hosts a lecture series on Friday evenings from January through April. These are events run by LL Bean. They are here on the MOAC calendar to make membership aware of them. Questions should be addressed to LL Bean. These events are held in the camping department atrium. MOACers often gather for a nightcap after.
In May 2016, Nancy Dorrans and seven friends took an 18-day adventure to Southern Africa. Their journey started in Capetown, South Africa, with a hike up Table Mountain, then onto the wilds of Kruger National Park in search of the “big five” game animals, followed by a trip to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe for a thrilling rafting adventure down the mighty Zambezi, ending with a visit to a rhinoceros and lion cub preserve, and a stop in Johannesburg to reunite with a childhood friend.
Join Nancy, a certified travel advisor with more than three decades of experience helping people create authentic cultural experiences, as she relives this amazing African adventure that fulfilled her life-long dream of exploring this truly stunning part of the world.
