Mount Israel (2630′) via the Wentworth Trail
There are wonderful views of Squam Lake and the Sandwich Range from Mount Israel.

Hiking Time: ~3 hours
While the overall distance of this hike is short, the Wentworth Trail gains about 800′ per mile, making this on the difficult side of moderate. (Note: No dogs allowed)
Rt. 93N to Exit 24 – Routes 3/25
Go 4.4 miles and turn left onto Rt. 113 to Center Sandwich.
From Center Sandwich bear left following Grove St. to Diamond Ledge Rd. Bear right at the beginning of the Sandwich Notch Road and follow Diamond Ledge Road past a farm to the Mead Conservation Center. MCC is the trailhead for the Wentworth Trail.
Carpool info: Meet at the Park & Ride off Exit 2 at 7:15AM, second carpool in Concord, NH between LLBean & Hannaford Exit 14 off Rt. 93 8:00AM.
After the hike we will head over to Walter’s Basin in in Center Sandwich for some food and cheer!!
