If you have never butt-sledded with the Merikan Missile, you have not experienced fun! We did the last three years and vowed that we would repeat it again this Winter. We will start at the base of Mt. Washington in Pinkham Notch heading out on the Tuckerman Ravine trail. We’ll hike up to the bowl – do some sledding and then power down the mountain on our “Missiles” on the Sherburne Ski Trail. It’s more fun than a barrel of snow Monkies !!
Here’s a video of our sledding from last year – check it out:
If you a not familiar with the Merikan Missle – please invest in one for this Event.
You should be a good hiker and familiar with the sled. Have microspikes for our trek up the mountain and the right layers and gear for Winter hiking. You must also have a helmet for the hike – mountaineering or ski will do.
After Hike Fun: We’ll probably have a late lunch at a local restaurant on the way back to North Conway.
More information as we get closer to the butt-sledding extravaganza.
