I am planning on trying to finish the TriPyramid hike this weekend. I had a few extra hours after my hike yesterday (Saturday) so I walked about half way up before it was time to turn around. The trail was well packed and the streams were all bridged. I was able to move at a 1 1/2 to 2 mph pace without much effort. This was on the easy part of the trail.
I want to be ready to go from the trailhead around 7:00 AM. The hike is 12 plus miles round trip. the first half is quite easy if trail is broken. The trail is very poorly blazed in some sections. I walked as much as 7 minutes between very hard to identify blazes. If trail is broken, it is very easy to follow. 🙂
I don’t mind going solo, but would welcome company too. Just be prepared for an early start and a long hike.
