SUMMARY:Sandy River Trip
DESCRIPTION:It has been quite some time since I have run this river.    I remember it being a nice Class 2 whitewater river trip.   Similar to the Ossippee trip that I posted for the weekend prior\, folks need to reach out and chat with me before the trip so I can help ensure they have the right gear and clothing and get an idea of other whitewater paddling they have done.   If interested\, reach out and talk with me.   Cell number is 207-653-9315.  This trip will also be a joint trip with the PPCS group.   Thanks !  Bob Radowicz

SUMMARY:Ossippe River trip
DESCRIPTION:This is a trip I have run annually with MOAC since joining in 1998 ( except for a couple of the Covid years).  The trip is about 7 miles of class 2 whitewater river travel.  Not a show and go trip.  I need to talk with participants to ensure folks have the proper gear and clothing.   Swimming in cold water has happened on past trips so I need to understand where folks have paddled before\, what clothing they have and what type of boat they plan to use.   We usually stop on the river to eat lunch along the way.   This trip will also be offered as a joint trip with the PPCS group that I presented at the March 2026 meeting.   If interested\, reach out to get more details.   My cell is 207-653-9315     Thanks   Bob Radowicz

SUMMARY:Ossippee River Class 2 Whitewater
DESCRIPTION:Posting a Class 2 whitewater trip for Sunday.  I have run this trip annually since joining the club in 1998.   Not a show and go trip.   You need to contact me to discuss experience\, gear and clothing.   Clothing is important since unplanned swimming occurrences do happen periodically.    We normally stop along the route to eat lunch.   So\, food\, water and snacks should be part of the planning.    I have extra gear such as dry bags that can be loaned for the trip if needed.  If interested\, give me a call.   Bob Radowicz   207 653 9315

SUMMARY:Ossippee River Class 2 Whitewater trip
DESCRIPTION:I have lead this trip annually since I joined MOAC in 1998. Will try it again on April 20th. 7 miles of Class 2 whitewater. Not a show and go trip. To join you need to contact me to discuss experience and what gear you are planning to use. This includes appropriate clothing for the occasional unplanned swim because at this part of the year the water is cold. For those interested and contact me I will provide details for where to meet and the time to meet. Plan to stop along the river for lunch. Also this is not a raft trip. We use either canoes or whitewater kayaks ( P.S. your fiberglass sea kayak would not be a good choice) Anyway give me a call. Trip is also weather dependent. Not going to reenact a previous trip where some of us became members of the “Not So Bright Bunch club”. I am hoping for a day with no rain and hopefully relatively warm. ( as I age\, it is no longer as much fun running the river when it is barely above freezing or in a rainstorm….) Not going to replay Trip is also being offer through the Penobscot\, Paddle and Chowder Society (PPCS) … Hopefully we can have another good day on the river. SUMMARY:Ossippee River canoe or kayak trip
DESCRIPTION:7 miles of class 2 whitewater.  I have posted this trip annually since 1998 when I joined the club. Need to contact me for meeting details as I need to ensure participants have the proper clothing and gear.   The water is cold and out of boat experiences have happened (including yours truly).  So the intention is about ensuring safety.  207-653-9315

SUMMARY:Ossippee River Trip
DESCRIPTION:I have run this river trip for MOAC most years since joining the club back in 1998. 7 miles of Class 2 whitewater. This is not a raft trip. Canoes and or Whitewater Kayaks are the river craft used here. I need to chat with interested participants to understand their level of experience and what gear they are bringing. We have had occasional out of boat experiences (I had one early on) and want to make sure participants have the proper gear in case of an unplanned swim. The water is still cold and hypothermia is a significant concern if one leaves their boat. We usually stop for lunch along the way. We usually have significant fun doing this. We may also have some folks join us from the Penobscot Paddle and Chowder Society (another outdoor group here in Maine that concentrates on water sports). If interested\, give me a shout. Bob
