SUMMARY:Sugarloaf & Saddleback Ski & Stay Safari - Updates
DESCRIPTION:MOAC is returning to the mountains of Rangeley and the Carrabassett Valley for a long-running winter favorite – a classic MOAC winter ski safari. We’ll enjoy the #1 and #2 ranked alpine resorts in the East (SKI Magazine Top 20 of the East\, 2026)\, located alongside two of New England’s premier Nordic trail systems\, with the freedom to choose your own activity each day. \nDates: Friday\, January 30 through Wednesday\, February 4 \nUPDATE:  Several Rooms available on Mon & Tue Feb 2 and 3.    1 Room available Fri Jan 30.    \nLodging:\nOur home base once again will be The Maine Roadhouse in Stratton—an MOAC favorite for years and the perfect hub for Sugarloaf and Saddleback adventures. In 2026\, the Roadhouse is under the management of owner Lisa Rigas and her son\, Crigas\, preserving everything MOAC came to enjoy under prior managers Jen & Jen. \nWe’ll have exclusive use of the entire lodge\, including the full kitchen and the large communal gathering room for shared meals\, games\, and fireside après-ski fun. New this year\, an additional suite is available—the former Jen & Jen quarters—giving us even more flexibility. \nLodging Costs:$45/night for semi-private bunks up to $99/night for a queen suite (formerly Jen & Jen’s quarters).  Full lodging room options are listed within the registration form\, linked in item 1\, below.  \nOrganizer: Dave Dancause (dave.dancause@gmail.com | 207-415-6258)  \nHow to attend: \n\nFill out registration: [Sugarloaf and Saddleback Safari Registration]; or contact Dave D directly: (207) 415-6258\nContact The Maine Roadhouse after January 5th.  The Maine Roadhouse will have the registration form information you have completed to ease the reservations process.\nLodging payment is due 7 days before your arrival  Call The Maine Roadhouse for lodging payment.  Note: Payment before arrival is new this year.\n\nWhy this registration form?  Ease for Lisa and Crigas to accept reservations. The Maine Roadhouse is no longer a MOAC secret – using Airbnb and other marketing platforms has made the Roadhouse a more popular lodging option.   The Maine Roadhouse will have this form data (your registration info) on hand when you call to make your reservation.   \nLet’s do this!
