SUMMARY:Walk for six miles at Millbrook Preserve
DESCRIPTION:This will be a moderate hike\, averaging 2 mph. The central section that connects the northern and southern parts of the preserve passes over steep hills above the brook. Total distance will be 6+ miles; after hiking 3 miles to the Frank C. Knight crossing and stopping for a snack break\, the group will decide whether to carry on to the southern trailhead (another mile each way) or\, walkers may turn around and head back. \nThe hike will leave from the Northern Trailhead\, which is located at the intersection of Methodist Road and Route 302.  Lunch out after for those who are interested.

SUMMARY:Cocktails\, Mocktails and Tall Tales by the Fire
DESCRIPTION:A purely social event to hang around by the fire pit\, in the gazebo\, or in the field and celebrate the coming of winter sports.  Nearly a full bar and bring something to stock the bar if you’d like.  Appetizers and friendly vibes on tap.  This gathering is limited to 30 people and there will be an alcoholic drink limit of two.  RSVP’s beginning OCTOBER 19th.  It’s all in fun in case you had a bummer of a Halloween.  Costumes encouraged to keep the ghastly ghost spirits alive.  Daylight Savings Time will have ended!  New members welcome!
