DESCRIPTION:A tradition returns! Saturday May 27th at 8:30 AM we will meet at Bar Harbor Campground. Carpooling encouraged but tricky with bikes being transported. We will bike at a sightseeing pace on the carriage paths. I expect we will stop 3 times to get off the bikes for short hikes of 30-45 minutes. Helmets required. Suggest hybrid or mountain bikes. Please bring water\, lunch\, snacks\, jacket\, sunblock\, spare tube. Expect to finish by 4:00 PM. Times are flexible to meet the wishes of our group. DESCRIPTION:Great day for a paddle to cool off on the East side of Chebeague Island. Photo is from Thursday. Cousins Island to Chebeague paddle. Meet at 8:30AM at Sandy Point Beach on Cousins Island (parking lot and beach on your left immediately after crossing Cousins Island bridge) with boats in water at 9:00AM. Cousins to Little John to the beautiful beaches of Chebeague. Depending on effort/time Sand Island may be included. Return to Sandy Point by 3:30-4:00 PM. Requirements: 14 foot or larger kayak suitable for Casco Bay\, PFD\, bring your own water and lunch. TEXT me at 207-450-4707 if going. I did this paddle Thursday. It was fantastic! I just got a little carried away by also going to Little Chebeague! The SW wind carried me back in the afternoon.

DESCRIPTION:July 2nd sunset and low tide are both at approximately 8:20 PM. With the 7:00 PM forecast 79 degrees\, light wind\, and low humidity. Shorts\, t-shirts\, bare feet\, and sunglasses are recommended. Fully vaccinated please (honor system). Location: Pine Point Scarborough Municipal parking lot. They stop charging fees at 5:00 PM. Meet at 6:45 PM for 7:00 PM walk. Show and go. No need to contact leader.

SUMMARY:Acadia Hike and Bike
DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with the Acadia Memorial Day weekend trip I will be leading a Hike and Bike on the carriage roads May 28th ( rain date May 29th ). From Bar Harbor Campground we will all meet up at the Brown Mountain parking lot on Route 3 at 8:30 AM (depending on our group needs and weather the time can be adjusted).  Please bring a bike suitable for the carriage roads\, helmet\, means of carrying your food and water.  There will be 2 short hikes as well so in the past we have brought bike locks.  The pace will be moderate to enjoy the views\, distance 12-20 cycling miles plus short hikes\, and will be passing by the Jordan Pond House (other than using the restrooms unlikely we will go inside). Plan on being back to the parking lot no later than 3:30 PM.  In a prior year there was a mini mutiny (thanks Dave)\, so we can adjust hikes and overall distance to accommodate individual needs.  Please TEXT me at 207-450-4707 if you plan on going or with general questions.  I will be creating a group text of all so if we have to move the time or a rain date I will be able to inform everyone quickly.  Again text me a 207-450-4707.  P.S. please bring a spare tube for your bike.
