SUMMARY:Mt Pisgah Peak and Ledges Trail\, Kennebec Land Trust
DESCRIPTION:Join me for a morning hike to explore the trails and climb the fire tower in Mt. Pisgah Conservation Area held by Kennebec Land Trust. Trails are well maintained. Weather should be clearing after weekend rains\, which I hope will wash out the smoke intruding on New England from Canadian and Minnesotan fires. The forecast includes more rain after Monday\, so Friday could be the alternate date. \n\nI propose the Tower Trail-Blueberry Trail loop\, 2.4 miles with elevation gain of 329 feet. We could also extend by doing the Ledges Trail also\, which may add about 1 mile more.\n\nMeet at TH at 8:30 a.m. be back at the cars by 1:00 p.m. Email me your interest so we can coordinate driving and possibly weather delay.

DESCRIPTION:very short hike up (RT 1.4 mile) the south trail to Pisgah Hill\, parking on Dougherty Road trailhead. part of the Royal River Conservation Trust . I’ll be doing this Friday afternoon. text me to let me know to look for you at TH. I am aiming for 1:30 start. time and interest permitting\, I may go around to the shorter north trail (0.6 mile) to look for the beaver pond. 30 minute drive from downtown Portland. willing to drive if you are not far out of my way. DESCRIPTION:This is Kate reposting for Eileen’s Alpine Garden hike. This hike is weather dependent\, already postponed from May 31.   Eileen can’t go Tuesday\, so I am organizing those interested in this date\, Tuesday June 9. Yes I know it is election day; I voted already… It is the best weather this week. Temps are supposed to be mid-50s with lower winds than last 10 days or this coming Saturday and some sun. \nThis is an intermediate hike of 3.5 miles out and back across rocks above tree line.  You are required to STAY on the marked trail.  The terrain is fragile.  It will be 2+ hours of hiking or more depending on photos and enjoying the views.\n\n Weather on Washington  Here is Mountain-Weather link.\n\nSturdy boots\, wind/rain gear\, warm layers\, hat\, water\, food\, etc. are required.  Hiking poles are a good idea.\n\nLet me know if you want to carpool: I can drive or hitch a ride. I live on the East End in Portland.  Cost is $36 per person in a vehicle to drive six+ miles up the Auto Road to the trailhead.
