DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to support the Loon Echo Land Trust with a trail work trip on Pleasant Mountain in Bridgton\, Maine. We’ll be hiking approximately 3.5 – 4 miles round trip while working along the way\, with an elevation gain of 1\,600 feet. (sign up here) \nNo experience necessary! Volunteers will receive on-the-job training using approved AMC techniques. \nTrip Details:\n\nDate and Time: Mid-morning departure\, ending mid-afternoon (approximately 6 hours)\nWork Type: Easy maintenance\, trimming vegetation\, cleaning water bars\, removing rocks\, etc.\nTools: Maine Trails can supply tools\, but feel free to bring your own if you have them.\n\nWhat to Bring:\n\nTrail work gloves\nWater and snacks\nAppropriate clothing (long pants\, long-sleeve shirt\, boots\, hat)\nSunscreen and bug spray\n\nRegistration Deadline: July 8\, 2024 (sign up here)\nDuring the screening call (or email)\, I’ll provide details on where and when to meet. \nJoin us for a rewarding day of trail work\, fresh air\, and great company!
